2.5.147 Core Release Notes

New Cookie Consent Banner

 BRIDGE-3209

To support customer compliance with various privacy protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a new cookie consent banner has been introduced.

When enabled, the cookie consent banner persists throughout each user's subsequent session until it is accepted, after which it is suppressed for that browser for 365 days by default. The period of validity following acknowledgment of the cookie policy may be customized.

General styling of the cookie consent banner, including font family, size, and color, are inherited from the applicable Portal Appearance settings.

As all cookies currently employed by Bridge Specialty Suite are strictly necessary, there are no options to accept/decline specific cookies. Only the option to accept all cookies is currently supported.

This will be available from version 2.5.147.

To enable this feature, please contact your Insurity representative.

New Premium Calculation Option for Endorsement Contractions

 BRIDGE-8346

The option to leverage a Rate Rule Evaluation for premium calculation of Endorsement Contractions is now supported. Prior to this enhancement, the only calculation method available for Endorsement Contractions was prorating.

A new option called Rule Evaluation is now available in the Coverage Calculation Methods panel of the Policy Settings screen in the Master Covers section. Once selected, the premium will be calculated using premium values from one or more dynamic fields in the workflow, according to configured Rate Rule. To complete the configuration, a new or existing Rate Rule must be made available for Endorsement Contraction transactions via the Rate Rules grid on the Rate Rules Evaluation screen, also in the Master Covers section.

While the premium calculation is determined by the configured Rate Rule, any applicable taxes, fees, and commissions are applied to the Endorsement Contraction premium using their respective settings.

Updates to Policy-Related Billing Fields

BRIDGE-6693

The following billing information field values are now updated upon Calculate Quote for Renewal transactions under the condition that a Payment Plan has been selected:

  • BillingPolicyOutstandingAmount
  • BillingPolicyRemainingUnpaidAmount

Event Tracker Enhancement

BRIDGE-8495

Prior to this release, the event tracing Sequence column only contained the date and was therefore unhelpful for sorting events into their run sequence. The time stamp has now been added, enabling this column to respond to sorting upon clicking the column header.

ExportBillingInfo Enhancements

BRIDGE-9246

A number of enhancements have been made to the ExportBillingInfo job to ensure that charges and invoicing information is updated in the Billing module and that the updated data is passed to the Policy module.

  • The number of jobs generated by this process has been rationalized, decreasing the overall number of jobs required to process the data.
  • The ability to parallel process the import of Billing data into Policy has been introduced, allowing multiple policies to be updated simultaneously and speeding up this process.
  • The export job has a new locking mechanism applied so that it sequentially processes requests and only allow jobs to start when the server is ready, preventing jobs from expiring.
